Our exciting national restaurant group is looking for a dynamic and high energy Restaurant Assistant General Manager for our new Mediterranean Seafood Restaurant in Houston. This candidate must come from an upscale independent restaurant background and have worked in a seafood restaurant. They must also have a strong beverage background. Opening experience is a big plus and they should know how to inspire and motivate a team to be focused on delivering a guest experience that exceeds expectations.

Restaurant Assistant Manager Responsibilities
  • Lead and mentor all team members
  • Implement training and development
  • Assist the General Manager with Financial reporting and ownership
  • Increasing market share by building relationships with guests and delivering a world-class guest experience
  • Inspire and motivate a team to always be in their A game

Restaurant Assistant Manager Qualifications

  • Must have a background in upscale seafood restaurants
  • Strong Wine knowledge
  • Experience with high volume - $6M+
  • Must have at least 2 years in a similar position.

Eventually, he moved on to Eddie V’s and was promoted to Managing Partner and opened the Kansas City location.  
  • David received a Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc.) in Hotel Management from the Cape Town Hotel School and an associated degree in Hotel Management from Cape Technikon.  
  • David and his wife, Jennifer, have two children, Aaron and Evan. They have two Australian herding dogs, Blue and Leroy.
