Job Description


We are seeking an experienced Chef Manager to join our team. This is for a luxury Independent Living Community that caters to a limited, exclusive clientele. This is in a home-like setting very similar to a restaurant chef role. This location is open Tuesday through Saturday for Lunch and Dinner. Chef Manager Responsibilities:
  • Ensures high-quality food is prepared, menus are executed and served in an efficient manner while providing remarkable customer service and striving to find cost efficiencies.
  • Provides support and assistance overseeing all kitchen and dining operations and other managers/supervisors
  • Oversees ordering, menu planning, and execution of all meals for the location.
  • Executing cooking demos, interactive classes, and overseeing needs service

Chef Manager Requirements:
  • Associate s degree or culinary certification preferred
  • 2+ years of progressive chef experience managing upscale restaurants and/or catering
  • 4+ years of experience in a high-volume, full-service restaurant preferred
  • Strong culinary knowledge and communication skills
  • ServSafe Certification preferred

When her youngest son graduated from high school and left home, Robin and her husband moved to the Gulf Coast of Texas to be near their children and grandchildren.
 
After moving to the Gulf Coast, Robin went back to college in Webster, TX, graduated with a 4.0, and started her career in the medical field. She got into Sales and Marketing for Home Care and then transitioned into Assisted Living Director roles. Robin's passion became helping seniors have the best lives possible in their final chapter of life. She has taken care of Alzheimer's residents for nearly a decade and is passionate about having them receive the care they need and providing them with the dignity they deserve.
 
Last year, Robin's husband was diagnosed with dementia. She knew that she would eventually have to take care of him and still work. Goodwin Recruiting came along and offered her the best of both worlds!
