Chef-in-Training needed for upscale restaurant company with West Coast growth plans.

Chef-in-Training Requirements and Responsibilities:
  • Drive, ambition, and loyalty are more important than advanced education, but a degree or working toward a degree in hospitality management or culinary arts is a plus
  • The ideal candidate may already be a Chef, Sous Chef, or Lead Line Cook with a strong desire for professional culinary development as a future leader
  • Maintains and strengthens company culture and core values through coaching and training
  • Thrives in a performance-driven environment
  • Manage and execute profit plans
  • Inventory management
  • Strong problem solver
  • Humility and a good sense of humor
  • Leaders with hospitality-based backgrounds will be considered: Restaurant - Hotel - Resorts - Cruise Lines
Chef-in-Training Compensation & Benefits:
  • Base compensation up to $65,000 depending on background and experience
  • Typically a 5-day work-week with 40-50 hours per week
  • Full benefits with coverage beginning on the first day of the month following the date of hire
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision with company contribution to the employee premium
  • Relocation candidates will be considered and a willingness to move where needed for advancement is a plus
