A leader in small ship cruising is seeking qualified Chief Engineers to work aboard their vessels. Chief Engineer Responsibilities
  • Maintain assigned ship in a state of readiness at all times, including all engineering, deck, life safety, and hotel systems
  • Oversee all fuel, oil, and potable water bunkering operations
  • Directly supervise others as assigned
  • Interact with passengers daily in a professional and hospitable manner

Chief Engineer Requirements
  • At least TWO years of experience as an Engineer aboard a passenger vessel of at least 25 tons is REQUIRED.
  • Maritime Engineering School Graduate in good standing and/or a Designated Duty Engineer certification or equivalent, is REQUIRED.
  • Strong knowledge of diesel propulsion and electrical generating systems, fuel centrifuges, air compressors, pumps, hydraulics, water makers, hotel systems, plumbing, refrigeration, heating, and air conditioning.
  • QMED license preferred
  • STCW preferred
  • Valid TWIC preferred
