Job Description

We are currently searching for a Civil Engineer for a well-established, growing company. The ideal candidate for the Civil Engineer role will help manage Civil Site designs, including layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management planning, and utility coordination for commercial, residential and municipal development.

Civil Engineer Responsibilities:

Responsible for civil site design, including layout, grading, drainage, stormwater management planning, and utility coordination for commercial, residential, and municipal development.

Work may include planning, scheduling, and coordinating work with support staff and sub-consultants, conducting field investigations, permitting, report writing, design development, and implementing construction phase services.

Preparing applications to local and state agencies (Maine Department of Environmental Protection) is a significant part of the responsibilities.

Civil Engineer Requirements:

Bachelor of Science degree in civil engineering.

3 Years minimum experience in site development projects, including stormwater management, site, grading, utility, and roadway design.

Experience with applications to the State Department of Environmental Protection.

PE License in Maine, or ability to obtain within six months preferred

Proficiency in AutoCAD, Hydro CAD, and MS Office.

EIT mandatory

Proficiency in preparing engineering reports and technical studies such as design memos, feasibility studies, and concept design reports.

Experience with fieldwork and construction phase services support.

Civil Engineer Compensation & Benefits:

Base salary of $80K - $95K on experience
