Because we run an efficiency hotel, it is crucial that the operation of the hotel is run in the same manner. Being able to bring the best out of a staff and create a cohesive unit is the only way to go. Without this skill, success is not achieved. Hotel experience is not a requirement. Leadership skills and past success derived from these skills will always outshine industry-specific work history. Below, you will find some detail on the day to day responsibilities that a General Manager will be held accountable for.

General Manager Responsibilities:
  • 1. Opening of the hotel (limited hours of operation)
  • 2. Delegating work to different staff departments
  • 3. Communicating with Corporate Office
  • 4. Receiving incoming calls from current and potential guests
  • 5. Inspecting rooms that have been turned over by Housekeeping
  • 6. Inspecting quality of work orders completed by Maintenance
  • 7. Assessing status and plan of action on all rooms that are out of service
  • 8. Resolving guest concerns
  • 9 Continued training of staff members
