Restaurant General Manager Responsibilities:
- Managing all functions of the restaurant during opening, mid or closing shifts
- Hiring, coaching, teaching and developing of hourly employees
- Managing shifts, supervising/training restaurant team members and ensuring a Gold Standard guest experience!
Restaurant General Manager Qualifications:
- 3+ years of General Manager experience
- Working in a fast-paced team environment
- Casual, full-service dining background
- Experience in developing your team members and cross-training

Jim Childs joined Goodwin Recruiting in 2021. Jim is from Minnesota and has lived and/or worked in every state in the upper Midwest. He has Multi-Unit management experience with Brinker Intl., Red Robin, and Panera for over 20 years. Jim is a former board of director member in Minnesota and Iowa's Hospitality Associations. He is committed to finding a "career-long" fit for clients and candidates.
Jim enjoys time at Ruth Lake with family. He is a TV sports announcer in the Twin Cities for high school and amateur sports. Jim is married to Karen and has two children, Jac and Carrington. He is an avid fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes and all things Minnesota, including the temperatures.
