The General Manager (GM) is the highest level of management within a single store. The GM is responsible for leading, mentoring, and advising the management team and staff to the successful execution of the restaurant. The GM teaches management on the fundamentals and approach to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, and hospitality while representing the values. The GM will also need to have a strong understanding of the store's progress and have a strategic vision for its future development.

General Manager Major Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibility for the overall profitability of the restaurant
Utilize leadership and communication skills to set standards, expectations, and the importance of guest service
Review and approve all schedules and forecasts
Coordinate opening/closing activities in a timely and safe manner
Complete all operational checklists daily
Ensure that all cash handling procedures are followed
Execute local marketing programs to drive revenue
Must execute a disciplinary action with all levels of personnel and maintain proper documentation as required
Manage food and labor costs in relation to the annual operating budget
Ensure compliance with the Occupational Safety & Health Act
Must have experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Internet
