The Sous Chef helps ensure the skillful execution of a diverse menu and must be able to honor classic, creative and seasonal dishes. This position requires time-management, communication, planning and delegation skills in a high volume setting. Must be effective communicating by phone, email and in person.

Restaurant Sous Chef Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the ordering, preparation & storage of product
  • Develop, coach and retain a great staff
  • Create an informed environment, that promotes individual & team success and growth
  • Develop enticing and regionally influenced menu specials
  • Maintain a professional, creative, fun and safe work environment
  • Responsible food & labor budget
  • Adhere to local Health Department's regulations

Restaurant Sous Chef Requirements:
  • Minimum Of 5 Years Supervisory Experience
  • Minimum Of 1-year Experience In a Fine Dining Establishment.
  • A passion for quality and respect for the customer.
  • Experience using POS systems.
  • Must be able to comfortably be on feet majority of the day and lift 40 pounds.
  • Computer proficient, able to use MS Word and Excel.
  • All local food handler permits must be current.
  • Excellent references.
