The Sous Chef helps ensure the skillful execution of a diverse menu and must be able to honor classic, creative, and seasonal dishes. This position requires time management, communication, planning, and delegation skills in a high-volume setting. Must be effective communicating by phone, email, and in person.

Restaurant Sous Chef Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the ordering, preparation, & storage of product
  • Develop, coach, and retain a great staff
  • Create an informed environment that promotes individual & team success and growth
  • Develop enticing and regionally influenced menu specials
  • Maintain a professional, creative, fun, and safe work environment
  • Responsible food & labor budget
  • Adhere to local Health Department's regulations

Restaurant Sous Chef Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 Years' Supervisory Experience
  • Minimum of 1 year of Experience in a Fine Dining Establishment
  • A passion for quality and respect for the customer
  • Experience using POS systems
  • Must be able to comfortably be on feet a majority of the day and lift 40 pounds
  • Computer proficient, able to use MS Word and Excel
  • All local food handler permits must be current
  • Excellent references
