Sous Chef- Asian Cuisine

Job Description
We are looking for a sous chef for a traditional Pacific Rim Asian restaurant. Candidates must be fluent in English and a native Pacific Rim language as well as experienced in cooking authentic Pacific Rim cuisine, understand the ingredients and methodologies.
Sous Chef Qualifications:
- At least 2 years experience as a Sous Chef / Line Lead / Lead Cook / Supervisor in an upscale, high-volume, stand-alone Asian restaurant
- 5+ years experience cooking Asian cuisine
- Bilingual in English and at least 1 other Pacific Rim language
- High level of knowledge of Asian cooking methods, ingredients, and techniques
- Strong leadership skills
Sous Chef Responsibilities:
- Manage the culinary team in conjunction with the Kitchen Manager
- Work with the GM and FOH managers on running flawless services
- Work with the Executive Chef on expectations and recipe adherence, consistency
- Place food orders and secure product
