One of Houston' s most reputable steakhouses is searching for a sous chef to oversee kitchen operations. This leader will work hand in hand with the cooks on daily tasks while ensuring that all standards are being met. The Sous Chef will also have financial responsibility for controlling labor and food costs. This individual will have strong people skills with the desire to develop others, great organizational skills, and a passion for food

Sous Chef Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a high-volume fine-dining or upscale restaurant.
  • Experience with a steakhouse cuisine platform critical.
  • Culinary training and/or extensive cooking and production experience; culinary education a plus.
  • Understanding of local, state, and federal health and sanitation laws.
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player with the ability to take direction.
