Training Kitchen Manager Needed for Growing Fast-Casual Restaurant Group

We are a growing Bay Area company that is expanding with both corporate locations in the Bay Area and franchised locations nationally. We are looking for a Kitchen Manager who wants to get in on the ground floor and grow with us. We need a hard working Kitchen Manager ready to expand their experience. Someone who has trained before, taught before, has leadership and has vision. You must be comfortable managing a multi-cultural team, some of whom will be Spanish-speaking. Except during new openings, this can be a 40 to 50-hour work week - your choice.

Training Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef Responsibilities:
  • Train new franchise owners and corporate kitchen new-hires, in Alameda and NSOs nationally, including food production, ordering, staffing, and kitchen organization, including hiring and training staff, maintaining desired food and labor costs and adhering to the highest food quality & safety standards
  • Travel to new store openings to help hire and train the kitchen team
  • The primary goal of the position is to ensure the quality and consistency of the food across the brand
  • Team scheduling, supervision, and ongoing culinary training and development
  • Roll out menu and recipe changes
  • Train both front and back of the house on menu items
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Kitchen safety and health compliance, audits, and inspections
Training Kitchen Manager or Sous Chef Requirements:
  • Able to travel and work new store openings nationwide
  • At least 2 years in a kitchen leadership role as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
  • 5 years industry experience - ideally someone who came up thru the ranks
  • Familiarity with a wide range of cuisines, ingredients, and cooking styles
  • Must work well within a growing company and be able to provide helpful insight into creating new structures and systems as we continue to expand
  • Experience adhering to food cost and labor cost goals in a high volume environment
  • Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish - must be bi-lingual
  • Tech savvy with experience using Google Drive and Microsoft Office
  • ServSafe Manager
  • Authorized to work permanent, full-time in the U.S.
